You made it! You are home with your baby and now you’re in recovery mode. In my culture we call the traditional postpartum period “cuarentena” and it means the new parent is home with their baby for a set period of time to heal, recover, & care for their newborn. In this time the new parent has lots of support from her family & community that assist her in her postpartum needs.
