Labor With Love prioritizes education & empowerment above all. Our company embraces the belief that no two births are alike and that an expecting parent knows what is best for themselves and their baby.
It is not our job to pressure, shame, or judge you for any choice you make concerning your birth, it is our job to support you, motivate you, and assure you that you are doing amazing, because you are!
Our Mission
We love supporting new parents, young parents, and as a Black, Mexican doula we love supporting Black women and POC women. Black women are disproportionately dying at the hands of the American healthcare system. Labor With Love takes an active stand against racism, systemic violence, and racial health disparities and we do so by educating young women in an accessible way via social media!
Our mission is to promote birth equity, empowerment, and total agency over your body & birth. At Labor With Love you are in capable hands that always have your wants and needs in mind.
Meet the Founder
Hello! My name is Lydia and I am a the founder & CEO of Labor With Love, LLC. I am incredibly passionate about birth work, women’s health, and Black health. Growing up as an “army brat”, I experienced all walks of life, but what remained true in all the different places I’ve lived was the disparity in healthcare for Black women. I have taken it upon myself to do my part in ensuring that your journey through pregnancy is a joyous one.
I earned my BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, shadowed gynecologists at Fort Belvoir hospital in Virginia, and volunteered at Magee’s Women’s Research Institute in Pennsylvania.
